Meet Connie Miroslaw, New DSF Student at CST

My name is Connie Miroslaw, and I live in Phoenix, AZ, where I was born and raised. I grew up in a Roman Catholic home and became a “born again” Christian at the age of 16.

My music ministry calling and service began over 25 years ago after a pastor heard me sing and recruited me to be on the worship team. I have a true passion for leading worship and strive to engage and connect others in an authentic spiritual worship experience through prayer, reflection, and song. I also work in the accounting and finance field, hold two MBAs, and am currently pursuing my M.Div.

I am married and have two grown children. In my spare time, I love to hike, travel (have been through most of Europe), and play the saxophone. A couple of years ago, I discovered Foothills Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), a very progressive, open and affirming church, and unlike any church I have ever attended. Shortly after I started attending, I began serving in the Music Ministry Leadership role.

Foothills is a very diverse and dynamic community of faith with women in leadership and pastoral roles. Being at this church has inspired and encouraged me to seek other personal and professional opportunities within the church. I believe God recently planted a seed in my heart to pursue my M.Div., which will allow me to attain more theological knowledge and personal growth, in hopes of one day fulfilling my “new” dream of serving in pastoral care.
