These numbers are hard to fathom because DV/IPV are hidden. The truth is, violence is embedded in our culture, but you can be pro-active in reducing violence. Courtney Armento will offer insight around how to respond, (what to/what not to say) if someone comes to you who has experienced domestic or intimate partner violence.

About Courtney Armento: Courtney graduated from Claremont School of Theology with an MDiv in 2019. She is driven to inspire the power of community to create systemic change, in that vein, she co-authored resolution GA-1928, A Call to See and Respond to Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence (DV/IPV), which will be voted on for adoption at the General Assembly for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), July 2019.
