IN ITS 50th FIFTIETH YEAR, THE DISCIPLES SEMINARY FOUNDATION SEEKS A NEW PRESIDENT
Mission: With offices in Claremont and in Berkeley, and in partnership with the Claremont School of Theology and Pacific School of Religion, the Foundation’s principal focus is the financial support and spiritual nurture of women and men called to ministry in Christ’s name. In that regard, an essential collaboration of the Foundation is with stewards of ministry throughout the Christian Church who give generously to support DSF’s scholarship program. Located within the Pacific Southwest Region, the Foundation serves, through comity agreements, regions of the Christian Church throughout the Western States, as well as similarly located Conferences of the United Church of Christ.
Environment for service: Socially and economically, DSF’s geographical service areas are diverse, with challenging urban and rural ministries in a richly varied cultural environment. The Foundation’s Trustees are confident that the position of DSF President will appeal to well prepared, dedicated and energetic servants of the church, called to such a place to continue their mission in earnest.
Setting: DSF is headquartered in Claremont, California, at the base of the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, directly across from its long-time partner, Claremont School of Theology.
